I think you all may be familiar with the most used social network Facebook and the best micro-blogging site Twitter, some of you may be also using them from a very long time, but have anyone ever thought how this Facebook and Twitter can help you in increasing your blog traffic and in making few bucks? You may have also seen a Re-tweet button and a Share on Facebook button on some Pro-bloggers’s blog. So why do they installed those buttons?
Your answer is here -
If someone lands to your blog via search engine and found an interesting post, if you have installed a social bookmarking plug-in or something I’m sure that he will like to share your post with others.
What happens if a post gets shared on Facebook and Twitter?
Today while reading Labnol I came through a report which shows that if a post is shared on Twitter, users are more likely to click on shared links than Facebook users and Facebook has a large user base so if a link is shared on Facebook users will explore it more than Twitter users.
So where to share links? Facebook or Twitter?
Answer is here – Share on both. Sharing links on both sites will be good for our blogs as Twitter users are more likely to click on shared links and Facebook user spend more time on exploring our site (which is good as it will help in increasing our page views and time on site), Moreover it will also help us in making few more bucks from advertising.
TIP: If you using WordPress as your blogging platform, then install TweetMeme button and Share on Facebook plug-in and don’t forget to use a hash tag # while sharing something on Twitter.

I for one use Twitter heavily (have 2 accounts with over 32,000 Followers). And I must admit that I receive fair amount of traffic via the Retweets. I’m yet to explore Facebook though.
WOW!!:O 32,000 followers! You have cool amount of Twitter followers. Give a try to Facebook and Digg too. I’m sure they will double your traffic.

Twitter , Facebook are good traffic generator, However I make more traffic from StumbleUpon, Don’t miss SU Ankit, Its really worth the try, Twitter and Facebook are one day traffic generators but things like Digg and SU can generate traffic any part of the life.
Hey, Awesome blog you have here. I wanted to let you all know that I think Twitter is going to be one of the best networks because of the fact that it is supported by so many industries. I also think when Twitter reveals some of it’s new functions, returning traffic will increase to show the real growth of the network.
Anyway, I created a blog that offerers great resources for Twitter that are 100% free, so come and visit and don’t be a stranger.
Keep up the great work!
Facebook has some crazy traffic these days. I know a lot of people making some good cash from it alone – let alone using it for traffic. I find Twitter a little too spammy and poor conversion rates from it.
