There were days when they use to build a website using HTML codes and Java scripts manually.

Today there are many websites and applications using which you can design and build your own website and for doing this you need not have to possess knowledge of HTML codes. Still we need Webmasters around because we can build the website but we will not be able to host it and maintain it.

Webmaster over the years have mastered in the technique to maintain and manage different websites. Although some of the webmasters have moved on with time by integrating their knowledge with the SEO technique.

Today SEO also has become an integral part of Webmasters and eventually maintaining and managing a website. Most of the webmasters are responsible for bringing in traffic to the website as well to maintain the higher ranks in the search engines.

They have to integrate and optimize the website by considering all the possibilities of future maintenance as well future integration of website. They are concerned that their website has to be user friendly, easy to locate and at the same time eye catchy which will clear the main objective of their business.

Webmasters have moved along with the changing technology and they are aware of new software’s like Jhoomla, Drupal and all the functionalities Fantastico Library as well wordpress. Infact some of the templates, which we see on wordpress and on some of the sebdesigning sites, have been created by these webmasters. They are the ones who have to possess all the repeated knowledge of software’s as they have to dupe many roles at the same time. They have to try their hands in painting, designing, layouts, hosting sites in networking as well server maintenance also.

They ought to have knowledge of different scripts and languages, which will improve their working credibility. These Webmasters are generating whatever tips we are getting for the proper use of technology.

A guest post by Bilal Ahmad write about seo, blogging and social media and review wordpress plugins like popup domination to help bloggers in increasing mailing list. He has also reviewed keyword winner plugin which helps in getting top SERP on search engines.

These days the Internet is jam-packed with blogs. There are lots of distinct blog podiums at present and several of them are without charge. I do not observe any “awful” thing regarding utilizing a free blogging podium, in actual fact. On the other hand, sincere bloggers would inform you that it is greatly superior if you bring into play your personal domain. This is matched up to the URL that you have from a blogging podium at no cost. If you utilize WordPress, you will obtain a URL including WordPress in it, if you draw on Blogger, you will pick up a URL as Blogspot in it and all that.

On the contrary is that sufficient motive to acquire your individual domain? I reflect the same. It seems as well as gives the impression of being extra professional as well as “genuine” if you get your personal domain. In addition, for SEO objectives, keeping your individual domain provides you an upper hand.
Consequently what must you deem when opting for a domain pro your blog? If SEO is vital for you and also you like folks to find out your blog, it follows that you are supposed to confirm that your domain given name is key phrase rich. This does not signify that the URL ought to be lengthy – simply go for the correct words to submit there with regard to your blog as well as its subject matter.

This brilliant article is written by Saksham Talwar, who shares funny videos and funny clips in Vidzshare. Don’t forget to check his website!

Making money from sites and blogs is so easy that one can easily make a good living from it, but for a noob (new blogger) it could be a never ending nightmare which may finally lead him in loosing interest in blogging and I’m sure he won’t take blogging seriously then. Al though he will learn then only that taking it seriously would never help as ankit said in one of his guest posts too on Chaaps.

New bloggers find it too hard to earn from blogs as they are not experienced, but don’t worry to get the best one doesn’t need experience just have to hard work in a smarter way. In second last post one of our Guest author answered the question – Can you earn Money Blogging? Today I’m going to tell you that how can one be a good blogger so he can make a good amount of revenue in the right way.

So How Can One be a Good Blogger?

To make a good blogger one doesn’t need any experience or something as I said in above. Just have to make some strategies to be good and earn well. To make good strategies you need good ideas and to get good ideas you have to mind map himself. I hope you are not feeling sleepy while reading this as it’s going to help only who are with fresh mind. Here are the strategies that may help you.

Write your best: Nothing is more important than content’s quality and the design. If your content would be good, then it’s of course that people on similar niche (topic) would like to read it. If you write about tutorials of something of which you offer services too, then there would be high chance of getting clients.

Make a good reader base: Before starting advertising or doing paid reviews, you should first make a good reader base as number of people will visit your blog as much page impressions will be there, which will help you to generate a good revenue without doing extra work.

Commenting: No tension on which niche you are writing or sharing content just collect some similar niche and deliberately comment as much as you can, but must be related to the topic and discussion and see the result.

Do all this for six months: YEAH! Don’t even touch your blog once you have designed it. Let it be as it is and do what I mentioned above. I’m suggestion you this because it would help you a lot and make it easier to get approved for Google Adsense, which is considered as a backbone of money for mainly all blogs, though you can give a try to Adbrite too for the last two three-months, but let me tell you that Adbrite is that network if it would work for you, then pay a good amount, but if it won’t you would not get even a single penny.

Now comes the social media thing: Now it’s time to share with all that what you did. Sign up for popular sites like Digg, Twitter, Facebook and start sharing! Remember sharing is caring, but spamming is abusing! So share only once at a time what you like.

Guest Posting: Yes! Just like social media guest posting is too like a sea of link backs and money. One can easily make money by writing on other sites. I think most of the all blogs are revenue sharing and gives a link back too, to the blog. Some blogs even pay per post. Even Passionate Bloggers also pay you 2$ per post that you write with a link back so, if you are interested to write for us most welcome!

Designing: Be clam and cool while choosing a design for your blogs. There is a hell a lot of themes available on the Web to choose with, but choose it wisely and according to your niche.

Tweaking the theme: None of the theme suit our exact requirements. So tweak it! Remember while tweaking try to make it SEO and Ads friendly (you can get an idea of what to tweak from our blog – Extreme Trix, which was recently re-designed).

Advertise!: Finally! once you are over with all that your blog is ready to show advertisements. There are several ad networks available to go with, but try to get approved for Adsense though it may take some time to get approved for it, but believe me it pays a lot better than any other ad network. If you don’t get approved for it, don’t worry there are some alternatives too, but as I told you they all depends on the site you own. So luck! Some alternatives are:

Adbrite

WidgetBucks

Ads Pilot

You can also give a try to in-text ads like Infolinks and kontera.

Time to check: Time to check whether you are doing everything in the right way for not if yes, then move to next step and if not once again check what’s wrong in your blog.

Affiliate: Once everything goes right, now it’s time to get some good amount of money without doing any hard work – Affiliate Marketing. You can give a try to HostGator affiliates, theme affiliates. All depends on the niche you choose.

Done!: Finally everything is done!

Congrats! Now you are one of the good bloggers who can make a living from it!

Hundred of blogs are created and being added to blogosphere every day. And, every blogger dream of earning a lot of money blogging. But in reality most of the bloggers can’t even earn a decent amount which can compensate the efforts and hard work that they put into blogging. If you ask that is it possible to earn money blogging? The answer is – YES. If you blog consistently for few months, then you will definitely earn some money blogging. But if you ask that can I generate a full-time earning from blogging? The answer would be still Yes. But it is very less likely to happen. The statistics show that the majority of bloggers earn less that $10 per month which means that the majority of bloggers can’t even earn a part-time income from blogging.

Then should you quit blogging and start doing something else? Whether spending so much time blogging is worth it? Is it next to impossible to generate a full-time living blogging? No. Why? Well here are the few reasons that why you should not quit blogging even if you can’t earn anything from it now.

Building a successful blog takes time – It takes years to build successful blogs. Building a large archive of posts, a loyal readership base, domain authority in the eyes of search engines won’t happen overnight. So as a bloggers you should have a long-term view. Once you have built a loyal readership base it won’t take a lot of hard work in monetizing it.

Blogs are passive source of Income – Blogs are a partial passive source of income. Although, you have to update your blog at regular intervals but it doesn’t means that your blog won’t earn any money on the day you don’t update it. High quality posts of the blog keep on earning for years and once you’ve a sufficient number of such posts you can earn a passive income without putting lot of efforts.

Advertising is not the only way to earn – Well, Most of the bloggers can only think about advertising and affiliate marketing when it comes to monetizing their blogs. What they don’t realize is there are a lot of other ways too that can be used to earn a decent amount from their blogs. The most common way is to write an E-book. Write an E-book on topics related to your niche and promote it amongst your readers. One of the biggest examples is the ProBlogger E-book which earned $72,000 for him. Besides E-book, you can easily find a lot of freelance writing/marketing assignments from the companies that have the same target audience as of your blog.

No two blogs are Equal - Every now and again, bloggers keep on comparing their traffic and earning stats with other blogs. But they forgot to realize that no two blogs are equal. A blog, which is in finance niche is not equal to the blog in shopping niche even if they have same level of traffic. And, even if two blogs are in same niche, they won’t earn same despite of the same traffic levels because of the difference in writing style, visual appearance and content structure.

Blogging is not an easy Job and it becomes very difficult for a blogger to stand out from the crowd when millions of pages of content is being added to blogosphere every day. So keep trying and enjoy your blogging.

The impact of social media on the behavior of your customers is increasing every day and nobody can deny it. According to stats, more than 90% of online consumers go to social media websites before buying a product and more than 50% of them take decisions on the basis of information they get from these social media websites, hence no business owner irrespective of the size, type or location of their business can afford to ignore the social media websites in their marketing strategy especially when nine out of your ten customers go to these websites before coming to you.

Although many businesses have already joined and created accounts on popular social networking websites, but still most of them are not able to leverage any kind of benefit from these sites, here we’ll discuss few of the reasons about why your social media strategy failed and what you should do to avoid such mistakes.

Using social media for broadcasting – Time and again, we see that most of the companies use their social networking accounts only for making new announcements related to their products and never participate in any kind of conversations. Social networking websites are created for doing conversations and your overall social media strategy fails at the moment when you stop participating in conversations with your target audience and start using your accounts as a medium to broadcast news related to your company.

Lacks of consistency – Many businesses join social networking websites with great expectations, but they stop updating your accounts when they can’t see quick results in form of new clients and increase revenues. Developing relationships on social media websites is a slow process. So have patience and don’t leave your social networking accounts unattended for months because nothing hurts your credibility more than when a user found your account which was not updated from a long time.

Having Nothing Valuable to Say – Your target audience expects you to be an expert in your niche when you are trying to sell something to them. Mostly, business owners don’t update their accounts for days because they can’t find anything that can be shared with their target audience. It gives bad signals to your target audience. So, if you want to establish yourself as an expert amongst them, make sure that you have something valuable to share with them.

When you stop behaving like a person – It is easier to develop a relationship with a human being as compared to building relationship with a company. Your potential customers will always prefer to buy from a friend instead of buying anything from a logo or a company. Make your social networking accounts as human as possible. Don’t limit yourself to product announcements or to conversations related to your products. Take a leap and start participating in conversations which are of interest to your potential buyer. It could be anything from sports to politics, movies to food. And Yes, Don’t forget to enjoy.

In many of my previous posts I told you all about the ‘More’ tag SEO issue, it was not clear to some of the bloggers. Some of my friends even contacted me for the details. Instead of giving the information about it and its issues in WordPress I found writing about it is a better way to let all know. The ‘More tag’ is actually a tag generated and inserted in the post section by a button present present above the ‘content’ section of the WordPress, used to create a ‘Read More..’ or ‘Continue reading’ link in the posts on home screen, tags, categories, pages and search pages. Well, if you think this small tag does play an important role, then you should not be calling yourself a blogger because none of the features in WordPress is useless. Every feature plays an important role and like all it does too. In this post I am going to tell you WHEN and WHEN NOT to use this tag in your blog. I am sure that I would help you.

When to use?

Ok! the ‘More’ tag comes default in WordPress installation and one can easily insert it by pressing ALT + SHIFT + T. The question which might arise in some readers is in last post I told that using more tag is not good as it creates a # tag at the end of the URL and creates a duplicate of the original post that is not good for SEO. Yeah! I told this, but this thing does not matter when is blog is just two three months old? Moreover, I am telling this because it is always suggested not to make any severe changes in a blog for first three-fourth month until the blogs get Google love. So if your blog is not too old, then use it!

When NOT to use it?

When the initial period of your blog gets overerd you are free to remove this tag and I will tell you how can you how do that just keep on reading. Now assume that initial period of your blog is overed and you want a professional blog. To make it look professional I am sure you would like to remove the dirt looking link of ‘Read more..’ or ‘Continue reading’. Moreover, now you might start caring about the SEO matter (as I assume you might have Google Love until now and does not want to get it a lost). You remove the tag there are many options like by hacking your WordPress files, but that is risky and you have to take a backup of your blog to try that. The another method is by using a plug-in called Thumbnail For Excerpts.

The idea of this plugin is to make excerpts have an image near. By default, WordPress strip every tag in excerpts, including images, so the look can be boring.

This plug-in would remove the bad looking read more links from the screen of your blog, add a thumbnail (will automatically add it by searching the post) with excerpts. The best thing about it is that you can easily change the width and the height of the thumbnail according to the color and design of your theme.

Links: Download/Instructions

Some new bloggers start blogging without having proper knowledge of blogging because of which finally they end up by everything so a piece of advice for those who are thinking about to start a blog, please first learn everything before implementing anything. I have made a list of the seven common mistakes done by bloggers (I have noticed some of these mistakes by pro-bloggers too, but sorry can’t name them here.)

Common Mistakes

More Tag: All of the WordPress users are aware of the More (<more>) tag to create a read more option on the home page. Almost every blogger uses this to create a read more or continue reading option, but it is not at good for SEO. The more tag creates a # tag at the end of the URL and creates a duplicate of the original post (remember Google hates spams and duplicate content. I don’t think there is any need to explain this anymore as most of the bloggers are aware of how duplicate content can lead to close the blog.

Grammar: Most of the new bloggers click on “Publish” button without even checking what they have written in the content. They proof-read the article at least once. Although it will help them only. As I told you before also that nobody is perfect so while writing the posts even bloggers do some grammatical mistakes, which should be edited to make a good blog as if there would be mistakes, then I don’t think someone would like to read a post full of mistakes. Check out a list of tools to improve grammar.

Niche: I told you about the importance of niche in the post “What did I learn from blogging” too. Most of bloggers start a Tech blog, but forgets that they have to write or share content on technology only and starts sharing everything what they like. If you will do so you will lose your readers. There are many importance of niche I would soon write a detailed post on it. Moreover, if you will stay on your niche, then the chance of getting a sponsor of similar niche increases.

Design: The design of theme matters a lot. You should choose a simple and reliable design based on your niche. The theme should be light weighted with some good features so you don’t need to add more plug-ins.

Less plug-ins: remember plug-ins slow down the blog speed of loading so only upload a plug-in which you find important.

Advertising: Most of the new bloggers start doing advertising on their blogs since the day one of their blog, which is not good at all. I have seen some blogs wrapped with Adsense and Adbrite code all-over. This would make the readers that you don’t care about them, you just want money nothing else.

Spamming: Some bloggers don’t understand the real meaning of sharing. Sharing means just to share the content once not to post it here, there, everywhere. This would make the Google feel that you are spamming so they may block you.

These were the top seven mistakes that every new blogger does, even I did some of them. You can check the mistakes what I did too.

The biggest thing of which a blogger dreams is the blog network. I hope until now you may be familiar with a blog network. Blog network is a network of two or more blogs started by two bloggers or partnered with some more bloggers. There are many advantages of starting and joining a blog network and today I am going to share some of them.

Network

Advantages

Time: Time is one of the seven fundamental physical quantities in the International System of Units, which never stops for anyone at any case. It is said to precious than anything in this universe. The time management is the main thing of which the bloggers fail to take care and it results in the failure of their blogs. Some bloggers sign up for social networks like Facebook, Orkut, Twitter, etc. To promote their blogs, but get involved too much in social networking to be a social media dude and forgets their main aim that is blogging. Social networking is not bad, but one should do that only for a fixed period of time so that he can take care of his/her blogs. If you will have a partner I’m sure you will not face this social networking problem as bloggers mainly do social networking to and stay in touch of friends, if you will have a partner, then I’m sure you will not feel to contact with your friends and all and he will also help you in continuously reminding your work.

Work: It is obvious that if you will have a blogging partner he will surely help you and other partners (if any) in blogging. The best thing about the blog network is that you will get help from your partner in promoting your articles cause of which you can expect an increase in your revenue generation.

Others: ”Nobody is perfect” this thing applies to the bloggers too. Some bloggers are good at coding while some at writing. All bloggers face some problems in their blogging life for sure. If one’s hobby is writing he may have faced some coding related problems as to make a good blog you have work on its design too and designing or modifying someone’s design needs some coding knowledge. If you are good at programming, then you may have faced content problem as you will not find writing as much interesting as compared to programming or coding moreover, one does whatever he likes to do so he will paying much mover interest in programming. So if you are planning to start a blog network try to make a partner who is good at field in which you are not?

Final Words

Starting a blog blog network with someone is really thing (as I have felt now). The main thing before starting a blog network the one should take care of the members and partner or partners. One should always choose right partners and members for his network. I’m sure if you will have a great network of members and partners (who are good at work) you can easily be a pro-blogger and make a hell lot of money.

Many of my friends and even my cousin Aditya started blogging on seeing many professional bloggers that they are making a good amount of money from it. They started blogging so they too can make few bucks from it not because they like to blog. If you too started have started a blog just cause to make money, I can guarantee you, you can never get the taste of success, and if you will not get success in blogging you will leave it soon.

Why most of the bloggers end up in just six months only?

- You may have observed that many bloggers leave blogging in just five six months only, ever thought why so? Only those bloggers give up whom don’t like to blog and started blog to just make bucks. You will never get success in life if you will do everything for money. I am not saying that money is nothing, but it is not EVERYTHING.

If you will blog for money, then I am sure you will never ever take care of your content, SEO, SEM, Blog’s niche, layout, etc. Which are the basic things of that a blogger should take care and fill up your entire blog with advertisements and all. By doing this, you will be doing the same mistake as I did when I started blogging. Filling up your blog with silly advertisements will make the readers feel that you only blog for MONEY and if your content is not too good as they wanted or it should be, then I am damn sure they will never come back to your blog.

Tip: What is SEO and how to optimize WordPress for it.

Follow the excellence and success will follow you!

You can make a good amount of money if you will do it in a proper and manner just like kids do their home work. If you are new to blogging follow the simple steps to taste the success:

Blog your heart: Don’t copy paste anything from any other site or blog, most of the new bloggers do so and finally end up with a mess of silly posts. Always write what your heart says (write down your thoughts and all).

Forget money!: In first month don’t even think about adding any advertisement on your blog. This will help you to make the readers feel that you are the real blogger, you don’t blog for money and all.

Take care of SEM, SEO & NICHE: As I told you in above stanza, these are the basic and main things of which a blogger should take care.

Write on your niche only!: It is good that you are an all rounder, can write on any topic, but always try to post articles on your niche only as your readers will get confused and there might be a chance of losing readers.

Focus on content: Quality of the post matters a lot, if your post will be good, then you will surely get quality back links, which would help you in getting a good page rank, which would further helping in direct advertising.

Comment, Comment & Comment!: Deliberately comment on others blog and I’m sure in return they will comment back too on your site, which would help you in increasing your traffic.

Tip: To resize Blogger’s comment forum.

Now advertise!: Once you are done with all these steps you are totally free to show advertisements on your blog, but remember don’t use more than three ad slots in one page.

These are the points that should be followed by a blogger to get success in his/her blogging career, there are some other points too, which I would like to share in future if I will get a good response from you all about this- post.
